Heavy Fingering weight Tough Sock is the sock weight yarn from The Uncommon Thread! Tough but still lovely and soft, this yarn is suitable for any item that will get lots of wear. It can be used for not only socks, but baby items, garments, hats and can be worn next to the skin. 

As with other hand-dyed yarns, we would recommend alternating skeins every 2 rows or so.

The Uncommon Thread cares deeply about the environment and is aware of the effects that chemicals can have on it, so they make every effort to exhaust all dyes in the dyebath so that no nasties go down the plughole. It is not always possible to exhaust all the dye, all the time, especially with certain dyeing techniques, so if you are intending on using your yarn for colourwork or with paler colours it pays to give it a wash first, just to be sure.
