This is a fabulous statement bedspread! A modern twist on a 1970s classic, it is absolutely stunning, super warm and will last generations. Unlike its 1970s counterparts, our Spring Bedspread is made of the softest, ethically sourced superfine merino and baby alpaca mix of Plump DK so you can be happy that you are not adding to the plastics problem for generations to come! It is simply made from lots of granny squares. Once you have got the hang of the flowers in the centre, this is very simple and fun to make.
The full blanket uses 33 skeins of Plump DK in the following colours:
Pavlova (MC) x 15 skeins
Toffee (CC1) 3 skeins * the pattern uses the colour Darjeeling
One skein of each of the following contrast colour (*as Marshmallow is in two colourways, you need two skeins of this)
A) Pinks – Fondant Fancy (CC2), Marshmallow* (CC3), Rhubarb Crumble (CC4)
B) Blues – Peppermint (CC5), Bon Bon (CC6), Sugared Almond (CC7)
C) Greens – Pistachio (CC8), Gooseberry (CC9), Angelica (CC10)
D) Brights – Lemon Curd (CC11), Marmalade (CC12), Marshmallow* (CC3)
